Their main tasks are:

relaxation of residual nutrients and sediments,

removal of bacteria,

restoring the pH of the oral cavity.

 

Mouth rinses effect may therefore be:

prophylactic

medicinal

refreshing.

 

Types of Washes:

salt solution (half a teaspoon of salt per cup of water), / li>

chemical solutions,

herbal, for example. sage, chamomile,

anti-bacterial (e.g.. chlorhexidine, sanguinaryn?)

mineral water from natural sources (balneotherapy)

tap water (hydrotherapy).

 

The simplest type of rinse liquids are mouthwash, which you can buy at a pharmacy or drugstore. Dentists in Poland say the composition of most of them is fluorine, which have anti-caries properties.
