Everybody brushes their teeth but not many people think about how they do it. Dentists in Poland tell us the most common mistakes:

1. Using the wrong toothbrush
While buying a toothbrush remember that the handle must be comfortable. The choice between a manual and electric toothbrush is up to you, depending on which you prefer.

2. using a toothbrush with the wrong kind of bristles
Toothbrushes have different bristles with different angles and hardness. Which one to choose? Hard bristles aren?™t good for most people as they may irritate their gums while brushing. A tooth brush should be strong enough to remove plaque but not hard enough o injure gums. Dentistry in Poland experineces a lot of patients suffering from this.

3. Brushing too rarely and too shortly
You should brush 2-3 times a day for about three minutes. If you have trouble with telling how long to brush, place a timer in your bathroom.

4. Not brushing properly
Remember to be gentle with your teeth and brush and aim the bristles from the gum down.

5. Not rinsing after brushing
If you don?™t rinse after brushing bacteria may flourish and lead to plaque.

6. using the same toothbrush too long
You should change your toothbrush every 3-4 months to avoid bacteria accumulation.
