Main Market Square (Rynek Glowny)

Krakow?䏭 main market square it is a must see in Krakow. Main Market Square was designed in 1257, it is 200 square meters and it makes the Market one of the largest medieval squares in Europe. You should also see Main Market Square Underground – which is 4,000m2. You may find there hi-tech museum tracing the history of the Cloth Hall. Polish cuisine is widely offered in charming bars and restaurants around the Market Square.

Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum

Auschwitz is an infamous place where more than a million Jews, as well as many Poles, were murdered during WWII. Tour within Auschwitz, museum and its surrounding last 7 hours. St. Mary’s Basilica (Kosciol Mariacki)

From The Basilica you may hear ?鄄ejna? mariacki??– which is Krakow famous bugle call which is played live on a trumpet. It is one of the city’s most enduring traditions. No matter how many times you have heard it, it is always a breathtaking spectacle. The St. Mary?䏭 Basilica is the place where you may see art and history. The magnificent wooden altarpiece was the principal work of 15th-century German artist Veit Stoss. Surrounding the altar are polychrome paintings by Polish masters of art like Matejko, Mehoffer, and Wyspia?ski did in the late 19th century. From the church, you may climb to Mariacki Tower, where you may admire Krakow panorama.

Wawel Cathedral

Wawel Cathedral is a special place in Polish history due to the fact that it was the church of Polish kings for four hundred years. The most important state ceremonies like weddings, baptisms and funeral ceremonies of Polish royalty were celebrated at Wawel Cathedral?䏭 High Altar. It is also a burial place of Polish kings. There, Cathedral tourists may also see ten ancient bells including giant Sigismund bell from 1520.
